Edico S in brief
Edico S is a personal file sharing service. You use session folders to share files through this service. You can invite participants to multiple session folders. You can conduct video meetings with multiple participants, using chat messaging, file sharing, and presentation features simultaneously during video conferences. Your messages are retained after meetings, and each participant can access the folder at any time after receiving the invitation.
General
The Edico S product features an account with a single account owner. The account includes the basic functionalities of the Edico service, which are accessible on various devices and mobile devices.
Account Owner, Invited Participants, and Session Folders
The account owner can create an arbitrary number of randomly numbered session folders on the internet server for their account. For each folder, the account owner can invite a necessary number of selected participants. A session folder can be protected by a password or be accessible without one.
Participants in the folder - sharing files
The account owner can upload files to each session folder that they want the invited participants to see. Additionally, invited participants can upload their own files to the session folder they were invited to, which they wish to be visible to all individuals who have access to that session folder.
Invited participants - Visits to the session folder, number of visitors
In the session folder, anyone with access rights can visit at any time from anywhere they have internet access on their device. While there can be many invitees, a maximum of ten (10) visitors can be logged into the session folder simultaneously.
Simultaneous meeting in the session folder and number of participants
The account owner or an invited participant can arrange with other authorized users of the session folder to hold a simultaneous meeting, where all or some of the authorized participants log into the session folder at an agreed-upon time. The number of participants in simultaneous meetings is limited to a maximum of ten (10).
Opening a video call / audio call in the session folder
For video conferencing in Edico session folders, the host or participant can initiate a video call where both video and audio can be used interactively among all meeting participants. The individual initiating the video call needs to use either Google or Facebook credentials. After initiation, other participants can join the video conference directly within the session without needing credentials. Audio-only communication is also possible via phone if there are any disruptions in the video connection. File presentations can also be effectively managed in this manner.
Chat window for text messages
The session folder has a chat window for interactive text messages. The text conversation accumulated in the window can be saved to the file list as a memo, for example. It can also be modified interactively between and by each of the participants.
