Edico G in brief
Edico G is a file-sharing service designed for group use, meaning the account can have multiple users but only one account owner. The group of users can share files through this service. Each user can invite participants to any session folder. Users can also conduct video meetings with multiple participants and communicate with each other using the chat function. It is possible to use both the chat and presentation features simultaneously during video conferences. You can upload files to your device at any time. Messages are retained after meetings, and each participant can access the folder at any time after receiving the invitation.
General
The Edico G product features an account with one account owner and authorized account users. The account includes the basic functionalities of the Edico service, which are accessible on various devices and mobile devices.
Account Owner and Account Users
The account owner, who is also a user of the account, can share the same credentials with parallel account users, allowing each to access the account. Only the account owner can change the login password.
Account users, invited participants - session folders
Account users can open any desired number of session folders with randomly assigned names on their internet server account. In each folder, users can invite selected participants by providing them with the folder password on the account's editing page. Account users can also visit each other's folders in mutually agreed-upon ways.
Participants in the Session Folder – File Sharing
Each account user can upload files to every session folder that they want the invited participants to see. Invited participants can also upload their own files to the session folder where the account user has invited them, and these files are visible to all individuals accessing the session folder. Account users and invited participants can also copy these files to their own devices after they have been uploaded to the session folder.
Invited participants - Visits to the session folder
Anyone with access rights to the session folder can visit it at any time and from any location with internet access. While there can be many invited participants, a maximum of ten (10) people can be logged into the session folder simultaneously.
Simultaneous meeting in the session folder - number of participants
The account owner, a concurrent user, or an invited participant can arrange, if desired, a simultaneous meeting within the session folder with other authorized participants. During this meeting, all or some of the authorized participants will log into the session folder at the agreed time. The maximum number of people in simultaneous meetings is ten (10).
Opening a video call / audio call in the session folder
For video conferencing in Edico session folders, the host or participant can initiate a video call where both video and audio can be used interactively among all meeting participants. The individual initiating the video call needs to use either Google or Facebook credentials. After initiation, other participants can join the video conference directly within the session without needing credentials. Audio-only communication is also possible via phone if there are any disruptions in the video connection. File presentations can also be effectively managed in this manner.
Chat window for text messages
The session folder has a chat window for interactive text messages. The text conversation accumulated in the window can be saved to the file list as a memo, for example. It can also be modified interactively between and by each of the participants.
